{last signs of fall} |
Although my favorite holiday is by far Christmas,
there is something amazing about getting together
with the family, eating, laughing, and giving thanks on one beautiful day.
This year, instead of typically having turkey dinner on Thursday,
my family ran into some scheduling mishaps and ended up
celebrating thanksgiving yesterday and leaving for Chicago this morning.
Yesterday, my aunt, my cousin, and a couple neighbors
came over to have a very (oriental) thanksgiving dinner.
This morning, my family all piled up into one small SUV, and headed to Chicago.
(I'm currently typing this on my phone in the car... Impressive, no?)

Because we're all in the mood to give thanks,
I thought it would be good to make a list of things I am thankful for:
1. God: Self-explanatory...
2. Family: Numbers 1, 2, & 3 are super cliche, but for a reason!
My brother came home from college yesterday and
there is no better feeling of having the whole family at one place.
3. Friends: Greatest people in the world. Hands down.
4. Beautiful weather: the weather has been fairly mild in
the usually-brutal climate that I live in, so I'm definitely thankful.
5. Sleep: my current best friend, perhaps.
6. My new phone: I just got the iPhone 4s!
It's been really exciting and it's the reason I've been able to
write this post during this car ride and take all
the pictures included in the post. So I'm most grateful.
Also, I forever owe gratitude to Shazam and Pandora :)
7. Fall fashion: DUH
8. Christmas decorations everywhere: They make me happier.
Happy thanksgiving everybody!
