"I'm so sorry but I love you, I'm a heartbreaker.
I'm genie for your wish, so dance dance dance till you run this town.
What time is it? Why it's 2pm!"
If any of these sentences made sense to you, then you are probably a fan of kpop!
There are many types of kpop fans, here's just an overview.
The anti-kpop fan: I think k-pop is stupid and people who listen to it are crazy fangirls who have no lives. Plus, like half the people who listen to it don't even know the language.... blahblahblahThe non-kpop fan: Well.. I prefer none mainstrean music.. I mean they are cute and all, but.. eh..
The normal kpop fan: Oh yeah, like Big Bang and Super Junior are cool and the guy with the abs is reallly attractive... I know a couple of songs, but I'm chill.
The somewhat crazy kpop fan: OMG, did you say BEAST? like B2ST? I love them! The song, "Fiction"? ♫ fiction... fiction..♫. I listen to k-pop, like, all the time. I have a few Biases.
The really crazy kpop fan: OMO OPPA SARANGHAE!!!! OPPA IBWAYO!!!! Do you see that guy right there, well I'M MARRIED TO HIM.... I SENT HIM A BAG WORTH $10,000 THE OTHER DAY. DO YOU THINK HE'LL LOVE ME?? OMG I KNOW WHERE HE LIVES. I'M GONNA WAIT FOR HIM AT HIS HOUSE EVERYDAY!
Well, whichever description fits you best, that's the kind of fan you are. For me, I am a somewhat
Here are some of the reasons why I love kpop:
1. Catchy Songs: If you have not came across "Gee" by Girls Generation or "Again & Again" by 2PM, you should probably check them out, because those songs are an instant addiction. A couple others that I recommend are "Oh" by Girls Generation, "Lies" by Big Bang, "Mr.Simple" by Super Junior, and "Be Mine" by Infinite.
2. Cute Boys: Okay, I'm not gonna lie. K-pop idols are, in fact, very attractive. Some of the most attractive ones include Kim Hyun Joong from SS501 and Jaejoong from "TVXQ". However, my personal favorites are B2ST's Junhyung, Infinite's L or Woohyun, SHINee's Jonghyun, or MBLAQ's Lee Joon.
3. All-around talents: Some k-pop groups are super duper talented! By talented, I mean they're not only great at singing, but also amazing at dancing. The epitome of that is none other than the famous "Rain". If you haven't yet, check out Infinite's "Comeback again", B2ST's "Fiction" or anything by Girls Generation to see how synchronized a group can be.
4. Lyrics: I like how the lyrics are not all about sex and drugs and alcohol. Sure, I personally can't understand it completely, but I like them anyway... :)
