ღ Chocolate Chip Success ღ

Just recently, my family purchased a Kitchenaid Mixer. I am someone who absolutely loves to bake, so I was super excited when it arrived on Wednesday! I tried out the chocolate chip cookies recipe in the book that it came with, and it was the first batch of cookies I made that has ever been successful. I tried many times, but either it was too flat, too thick, too hard or even harder.

Chocolate Chip Cookies:
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Sticks Butter
1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Salt
3 Cups Flour
2 Cups (12oz) Chocolate Chips

Mix together the sugars, butter, eggs and vanilla on low to medium speed for about 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides and mix again on the same speed for another 30 seconds. (Time may vary). Then, on a stirring speed, add the dry ingredients (Baking soda, salt, flour) slowly. Mix for about 40 seconds. (Time may vary) Mix in chocolate chips, about 15 seconds. Place tsp size dough on greased cookie sheet (or parchment paper). Bake in 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. Place on cooling rack immediately.

This time, it was indeed very delicious, not too hard and just the right texture of chewiness and crunchiness. It even looked appealing! I brought these delicious pieces of goodness to school today and shared it with my government class. Treats make everyone just that much happier!

  1. I don't bake a lot, but I love a good chocie chipie cookie, so I might have to give this one a try soon.
